The obverse: in the center on the disc - the denomination in two lines "10 РУБЛЕЙ" (10 RUBLES), under it - the mint trademark, on the ring along the rim - semicircular inscriptions, divided by two fragments of ornament, at the top – "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA), at the bottom – year of issue: "1992". The reverse: on the disc in the centre - the relief image of a Red-Breasted Goose, on the ring along the rim – semicircular inscriptions divided by two dots, at the top: "КРАСНАЯ КНИГА" (RED DATA BOOK), at the bottom: "КРАСНОЗОБАЯ КАЗАРКА" (RED-BREASTED GOOSE). The Red-Breasted Goose (Rufibrenta ruficollis) – a bird of duck species. The length of its body is some 55 cm, length of the wing – 39 cm., weight around 1 kg. It nests on parcels of tundra and forest-tundra on Taymyr, Yamal and Gydan Peninsulas and migrate for wintering to areas near Caucasus and Black Sea.
