FIFA (Capitals of french name) was founded on My 21st., 1904, and organized the championships of 1924 and 1928, as part of the Olympic Games of those years; as results of the great enthusiasm of the public for soccer, they decided to split the championship from the Olympics Games, and celebrate the Soccer Championship every 4 years, 2 apart from Olympic Games. As said, the first on 1930 was hosted and won by Uruguay (Uruguay also have won the 2 Championships on 1924 and 1928). The image on background on the coin shows part of the "Estadio Centenario" (Centennial Stadium), that was built specially for this Championship, had room for 90,000 people, being the biggest stadium outside the British islands. The name is on commemoration of the Centennial of the Independence of Uruguay (1830-1930).
