The coins are round. The rim is raised on both sides of the coin. The edge of the coin is corrugated. Surface of the coins is oxidized. The obverse has: within the circular geometric ornament – the relief of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus; in the center – a solar sign consisting of octagonal geometrical figure with elements of rhombic decor, symbolizing solar rays; beneath – year of issue, silver coin – fine silver alloy standard; inscriptions along the rim – at the top "РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ" (REPUBLIC OF BELARUS), at the bottom nd "АД3IН РУБЕЛЬ" (ONE ROUBLE) on the copper–nickel coin. The reverse has: in the center against a background of rising sun over a natural landscape – the relief of fern’s flower (with inset of synthetic crystal of red color on silver coin); in the left–hand and right–hand parts – relieves of Belarussian national ornament with elements of Kupalle motif; at the bottom –inscription along the rim – "КУПАЛЛЕ" (KUPALLE).
